When the Cambridge Competitive Music Festival began in 1934 its main aim was to encourage music making.

That's still our aim.

With over 120 classes, we hope it will provide an incentive for musicians of all abilities to:-

  • share their music with other musicians of similar talents and musical interests
  • receive advice & encouragement from very experienced professional musicians

The main Festival is now over for another year, but the Finals Concert will take place on Thursday 13th April at 7pm at St Faith's School, Cambridge.  Tickets are £5 each (£1 for schoolchildren) and are available in advance from Rex Freeman.  Only a limited number will be available on the night.  We hope that many competitors, parents, teachers and friends will attend this special event.
